Have you ever thought about what you’re paying yourself to work for yourself? Sounds crazy, right? But, you do cost yourself money. As a business owner, your time is of value. Do you know what your time is worth? Do you know your hourly rate? If you don’t know the answer to these questions, it’s important that you find the answers.
Think about everything that you currently do in your business. You’re most likely doing more than you should be doing, and you’re probably doing things that you shouldn’t spend your time doing. All of this is also costing you more money. I encourage you to do the math to find out how much you’re paying yourself each week, month, and year to be your own administrative assistant.
Whenever you’re working on administrative things, keep track of your time for a week. Then go back and multiply your hourly rate times the hours to determine the annual salary. I guarantee you that you can bring on an executive virtual assistant for much less than what you charge. Spend your time wisely in order to grow your company.
So, when you’re working, stop and think, should I be doing this?
