Five Tips for Finding the Perfect Hotel

If you travel frequently for business you know that finding a great hotel for your trip is essential. Of course, if you travel to the same cities you will most likely establish a favorite hotel for each city. However, if you’re just beginning your travel or if you’re traveling to a new territory you will need to find a new hotel. This can be a daunting and time-consuming task, but the following tips can help you ensure that you find the perfect hotel to suit your needs.

Check the hotel rankings

You can go online to find out which hotels are the best for each city. My personal favorite website for finding this information is Trip Advisor. You can sort by different categories, such as business and it will rank them in order from best to least for that category.

Check availability

Once you’ve entered your desired city you should plug in your travel dates so that only the hotels that have availability for your dates are left in the search.

Narrow your search

Based upon the rankings and availability choose your top three choices.

Read the reviews

Finally, you should read the reviews of the hotels that have made the cut from following all of the above steps. You know what’s important to you, but some of the main things to make note of while reading the reviews are: customer service experience, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, and noise level of the hotel, comfort of beds and temperature of the rooms.

Visit the website for each of your choices

You should visit the website for each to determine if they also offer the amenities that you require. A good hotel should offer a nice exercise room, a restaurant, room service and Wi-Fi service (free is always good).

Following the above steps should ensure that you find a good hotel to suit your needs. Once you stay at the hotel and actually experience it for yourself, definitely add it to your list of preferred hotels if it fits the bill.

Traveling in itself can be stressful, but taking the time to do your due diligence will ensure that you can make it less stressful by finding the perfect hotel for your travels.
