Because the match was so great, it’s kind of like she knows what I’m going to say before I say it…
Issue:
For me it was just managing my time. Like any other CEO or business owner, managing your time is probably one of the biggest, most important things you could do for yourself because time is money. And so having an assistant be able to take on some tasks that were a little bit more tedious for me to handle day-to-day, really allowed me to alleviate the pressure from handling those small things and focus on my bigger picture holistically, which is my company.
Why Team Delegate?
I’m very intentional about doing business with women, but even more intentional about doing business with women who look like me, and so that was a huge part of why I initiated the conversation. However, after talking with Team Delegate and understanding your business model and the process that you have implemented to be able to select qualified executive virtual assistants, that was really what grasped my attention more than anything, because I was looking for someone that, again, would alleviate the pressure of me taking the time to go out and find someone on my own.
Now that I know that I have a company in my back pocket that as we grow, and other employees in my company will essentially need assistance, I have a company that I know can assign qualified assistants that can get the job done. So what’s super important and what I love about Team Delegate is they have good assistants that work for their company that can deliver a level of service that any executive, CEO, CFO, or executive VP team, could really utilize strategically as part of their own business model.
Experience/Process of Working with Team Delegate:
For me, it’s been incredible. I like working with Alex, she’s like my right-hand person. I let her know what I have going on in my day, and anything that she feels like she can jump in and help me with, anything that she thinks that is going to make my day a little bit easier, she goes ahead and does the due diligence to make sure that she gets it executed.
What I love the most about Alex is she’s a very forward thinker. Because the match was so great, it’s kind of like she knows what I’m going to say before I say it. For example, she will say, “You know what? I’m going to go ahead and do this because you need this,” or “I’m going to edit this and review this because I know you probably don’t have the time to do it.”
So, it’s like having a right-hand person that knows who you are and that’s perfectly matched for you. I actually love that about Team Delegate because even if I were to hire a person myself, I don’t think that I would have the ability to get the perfect person to match my exact personality, and Team Delegate really did. I mean, that’s probably one of the biggest aspects about your company is that you got the perfect person to fit my personality.
Impact of Working with Team Delegate:
I feel like the biggest change has been that I’ve gotten more time back to focus on some bigger issues that I need to get tackled throughout the day, and really focus on our strategic plan as a whole.
Results of Working with Team Delegate:
Just tackling different tasks throughout the day. Typically, I will plan my schedule, book my calendar, review my meetings, review and outline emails, handle my LinkedIn and social media accounts, and so having all of that taken off my plate now gives me several hours back throughout the week. I can now focus on strategic planning and how the company aligns with our goals and making sure the company culture is going in the direction that I want. I can also review our acquisitions and have more meetings with my executive team. It really helps me to have the company growth that we’re going for instead of focusing on management skills.
Also, we’re at mid-stages in two different acquisitions. I have been able to travel all over North America for the last several months and not have to worry about planning the travel or getting a hotel. I had my executive virtual assistant review and go through the due diligence for my personal travel and help to plan my family vacation as well.
What’s most important from the company’s aspect is that we’ve been able to have some really strong strategic meetings to follow up on our goals for this year and the next five years, and I don’t think we would’ve been able to do that without Alex because she’s really helped to take some of the pressure off of me. So if I didn’t have her, I don’t think that we could’ve been able to get that portion of our business accomplished and she’s done a great job of making sure that she gets that executed for us.
